QUESTION:

With this in mind, I am interested in finding out about the content of the courses you run and their cost. If

we required a more tailored course for a group of 3-5 with some workshops and hands-on practice on

causal modelling in general and the methods used in Autobox in particular would this be possible? We

are generally at the level of - 'a good understanding of Box-Jenkins Methods'. Could you give me an idea

of what you would charge and how long the course would last?

ANSWER:

I believe a 2-3 day course incorporating, theory, implementation using AUTOBOX with some of your data

would get you and your group up to speed. We would discuss, among other things, ways to speed up the

data interchange and introduce you to the various ways, interactive, command driven, dll, etc. options that

are available. The cost of such training is based upon the time spent. AFS charges $250 per hour ($2,000

per day) and $125 per hour travel time. You can obtain a rough estimate by selecting the number of days

and estimating travel time, to and from our site in Pennsylvania. If you elect to have the seminar in the

Philadelphia area then we of course would have no travel consulting costs. All reasonable travel expenses,

first class, including hotels and such are directly billable to you.
