Forecasting Engine
At the heart of all of AFS's products is a sophisticated forecasting
engine. The engine has been purposely kept distinct from interfaces and written
in portable Fortran to make it easy to interface the forecast engine with any front
end system and on any platform. Industrial strength applications, such as production
planning and inventory control, can thus access the strength of AFS's automated
forecast processes with little effort.
Capabilities
The forecasting engine has all of the automatic features of our desktop
applications, but can be scaled to fit the forecasting application and platform capabilites.
If you have thousands of series to forecast each month, the forecast
engine can handle this. Very long time series? No problem. The forecast engine is
written to be flexible in terms of observations and number of causal variables allowed
in models. Thus the only true limitations are memory and processor power.

The Engine can be purchased for either
- Hardware capable of executing DOS programs
- or Other hardware platforms
The Price for A ( DOS based ) is:
- $ 1,195 ( max number of series in model=6 ; max series length = 300)
- $ 5,000 ( max number of series in model=30; max series length =2000)
